CSL Mission

Central Secretariat Library (CSL), Ministry of Culture is one of the largest government Library. Indian and Foreign Official documents are valuable parts of its core collection. CSL’s resources are an amalgamation of number of libraries of pre-independent Indian and many other old institutions such as Imperial Secretariat Library. The main mission of Central Secretariat Library is to perform the function of a secretariat Library with its collection of Government Reports and Gazettes. Central Secretariat Library caters the need of all the ministries/department of the government of India.
